Zero Discrimination Day – 1st of March
To bring about change, you must not be afraid to take the first step. We will fail when we fail to try. – Rosa Parks
The 1st of March is World Zero Discrimination Day, STC commemorates this day for all the efforts around the world to promote the idea of being actively anti-discrimination. In every effort there will be bias, there will be assumptions based on someone’s uncontrollable circumstance, ethnicity, place of origin, and many other areas of our lives, even controllable ones. Our aim is not to be perfect and to police the mistakes, it is to bring awareness and change attitudes, to hear stories, to understand, and to give respect and dignity regardless of any conditions. Join us and share your story and efforts.
A note to current STC city leaders, core teams, and volunteers: STC has created a social media graphics package for each of our monthly world days, you can use these to promote and spread awareness to this global concern and link to this page. You can access this in the STC Lobby under “resources” or download a set of World Zero Discrimination day graphics and quotes. Don’t have access to the lobby? Visit the City Leader Resources page to request your account today.
