STC Day of Courage in Action
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen” – Winston Churchill
Serve the City International commemorates one day a month to highlight a specific world-wide shared concern. The 18th of September is Serve the City’s Day of Courage in action! Courage is one of STC’s values, and we do our best to put our values into action. What does that mean? What does “courage in action” look like? How does it apply to volunteerism? That’s why we commemorate this day, to encourage our cities, volunteers, and leaders to think about true courage and it has an impact on the world around us, our communities, our families, and more. Share your stories of courage and make new stories!
A note to current STC city leaders, core teams, and volunteers: STC has created a social media graphics package for each of our monthly world days, you can use these to promote and spread awareness to this global concern and link to this page. You can access this in the STC Lobby under “resources” or click here to get the World Day of Courage in Action graphics set. Don’t have access to the lobby?
