20 April Masterclass: Care for the environment
Serve the City is focused on social concerns, evidenced by its mission statement ‘to show kindness in personal ways to people in need.’ However, it is readily apparent that our planet is in crisis, and that people and planet are interdependent.
In what ways can a person-focused organisation such as Serve the City understand and address the intersectionalities of caring for people and caring for the environment?
We will address this question by answering why the environment is important for an organisation that serves social needs and what it takes to translate this ‘why’ into a ‘how’. Once you register for the event, you will be provided with pre-workshop resources that we would like you to read prior to the Masterclass. After the Masterclass, we will also have a follow-up call to action so we can implement what we learn in the context of our cities.
Serve the City International’s Shared Social Concerns Team invites you to our Masterclass on Care for the Environment, taking place on Tuesday, 20th April from 19.00 to 20.30 CET.
Care for the environment should be a pressing concern for all of us, especially those who are volunteering in a person-focused organisation. Join us to find out why we need to address this issue and how we can do so.
Please reach out to hazel.lincy@servethecity.net if you have any questions.
