The Global Executive Team

The STCi Global Executive Team (also known as “The GET”) is composed of eleven members. These eleven people have expertise in a number of areas and are selected from among partners, city leaders, and friends of Serve the City throughout the movement. Together they provide vision, direction, development, and care for STC city chapters and their leaders. The GET is one of three bodies within the STC International Leadership Team (ILT).

  • Carlton Deal
    Carlton Deal CEO, Chair

    Carlton founded Serve the City in Brussels in July of 2005 with a single event called “Big Volunteer Week”, there were no plans beyond that week – however, the vision and ideas spread and even to other cities. Carlton chairs and leads the Global Executive Team which is a team of teams to help extend the ideas and put our STC values into action.

  • Simone Schuelbe
    Simone Schuelbe Family & Prayer

    Simone is originally from Germany, and she now resides in Brussels where she has been volunteering as part of the STC Brussels Core Team for a number of years.  She co-leads the Family and Prayer team and helps facilitate various connections between city leaders, to care and celebrate with the STC international family, sharing news and concerns.

  • Travis Mielonen
    Travis Mielonen Communications

    Travis is the founder and leader of STC Kraków and is the network coordinator for central Europe. From stories of serving and social media to our monthly all city connect calls communications and events are about seeing our values in action. Travis combines his background in technology, community transformation, and solution engineering to help everyone connect better.

  • Richard Holt
    Richard Holt Coaching, Cohorts, and Training

    Half-English and half-French, Richard grew up in London but spent most of his life overseas. Richard’s background is in international development and he loves walking alongside people and communities towards leading self-sustainable livelihoods. He is honored to be the UK Director for Serve the City, as well as the Regional Co-Cohort Leader for South Asia, Africa, and Western Europe.

  • Jerry McCarthy
    Jerry McCarthy Global Networking

    ​Jerry hails from New Jersey, United States, but his work takes him around globally throughout the year. His base location for Serve the City is South Jersey. The last 5 years for Jerry have been about helping new cities getting started with Serve the City. He is big fan of basketball and is very outspoken about his faith. He does also enjoy his occasional dose of Marvel comics.

  • Hazel Lincy
    Hazel Lincy Communications & Shared Social Concerns

    Hazel founded Serve the City Goa.  She is  also the Network Coordinator for India, and co-leads the STCi Global Executive Team’s Shared Social Concerns team. Hazel is currently studying for her Ph.D. in Human Rights Law, and also serves on the STCi Board.

  • Erin Preshoot
    Erin Preshoot Events

    Erin is the leader of STC Baltimore and the network coordinator for the United States. Erin typically hosts our all city connect calls on the 3rd Monday of each month as well as is a primary planner for the global volunteer day. She brings a wealth of knowledge and fun to everyone on the GET.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for governance, oversight, legal, and accountability of the STC INGO entity.

Global Executive Team

The Global Executive Team is responsible for vision, direction, development and care across the STC network of cities.

Global Operations Team

The Global Operations Team is responsible for resources, systems, support, and assistance to STC City leaders and teams.
