On March 21-23, representatives from 6 cities in the US gathered for the 5th Serve the City US Forum in Newport News, VA.
The theme of the forum was how to plan an event, focusing on planning for the Global Volunteer Day in May. The forum started with time together over a meal, and then serving together. The rest of the time was looking at the tensions, values, sharing stories, and time to plan for GVD.
It is encouraging that two starting cities, Norfolk, VA and Minneapolis, MN, joined and are hoping that they will be started by the US Forum next year!
